We’ve done it again! Our best-selling Contact Reins now come with an added training aid — because there’s just no stopping us.
We’ve added coloured markers to match each side of the rein, helping young riders know exactly where to place their hands and keep the reins level.
Truly revolutionary. Fantastic for children, and just as great for inexperienced riders — the perfect entry-level set.
How do they work?
Our new and improved sliding elastic support reins connect to the dee rings on your saddle (no dees? No problem — we’ll supply attachments). If your pony or horse puts its head down too far — say, snatching at grass — the pull is transferred to the elastic contact rein and stops at the saddle. The contact rein acts like a second pair of hands, keeping gentle, constant contact with the pony without tugging or pulling on the mouth. Easy to put on and take off, with snaps on both sides.
How does it help?
Great for assisting with collection and head carriage, and for supporting the horse’s transition and balance — all without harsh contact.

Beginners and children. These reins are especially helpful for young riders who don’t yet have the leg, seat, or hand independence to manage balance on their own.
